And so the last 15 mins of 2012, we went to Esplanade for the New Year Countdown.
Initially we planned to go to our favorite "secret" spot last year at the Esplanade Rooftop. Apparently it is not so secret because it is closed. Being lost and unhappy I decided to ask for a reason. Someone booked the whole rooftop. Wah like seriously?!
And so we walked outside.
It was like raining the past few days so the grass are muddy and slightly drizzling...
It was also depressingly crowded and we are part of the crowd trying to look for a good spot. Which unfortunately din happen because the good spots are jammed.
We settled down at a more spacious spot and the following photos will explain why it is more spacious in the first place.

Please kindly look carefully at the above photo. Seen it? Yes someone sat on the generator to watch the fireworks. Good spot but it was also drizzling that day. Not very safe.

On the brighter side, at least I got to see the fireworks above the tree together with my family.The whole family~ The fireworks are pretty too. Just that most of it got blocked by the tree. Lol.
And the shitty-ness din end there. All the entrances to the esplanade got blocked for I dunnoe what reason. We parked there... We actually have to enter through the underpass...
Part 3 of rubbish. We din notice this sign initially and were so happy that we are the last car to be allowed in the car park. To find out that they are really sticking to this sign.
The fireworks ended just a few mins after midnight... And after all the walking, we reached the car at maybe around 1220? To find out that we got stuck in the car in the queue. And there is no reception for radio.

We actually waited in the car for more than an hour. And at 1:30am sharp, everyone start to horn when they din let us out. Hehe.

Wasnt a really good fireworks/countdown experience. I rather spend it at home in my room sweet room Haha. I dun think I will ever want to go to the esplanade for countdown anytime soon.
